The 32nd annual MLK Celebration, sponsored by the Knights of Columbus & Ladies of Peter Claver Unit 267, will be held Sunday, January 14th at the 10am Mass. This year's theme is "Standing for Peace in a Troubled Nation." Bishop Fernand Cheri will be our main celebrant, con-celebrating with our Pastor, Fr. Eugene Jacques. Everyone is invited to attend.
In conjunction with the MLK Celebration, the Knights & Ladies of Peter Claver will also sponsor a parish wide food drive the weekends of January 6 & 7 and January 13 & 14 to replenish St. Joseph the Worker Parish Food Pantry. Please bring your items to Church and place them in the children's room or bring them during the week to the Parish Office between the hours of 9 and 3.
Suggested items: dry beans of any kind, cereals, grits, oatmeal, Mac and cheese, peas, spaghetti sauce in cans or jars, can mixed vegetables, any kinds of soup, peanut butter, jams, canned chicken, tuna and Vienna sausages, Chef Boyardee, rice in 2 pound bags, any boxed pre-mixed foods like hamburger helper or rice-a-roni juices of any kind. Remember, your generosity will be returned to you greater than you give!
