School Information

GENERAL POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

Admission

St. Joseph the Worker School admits children from any race, color, national

or ethnic, origin to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally

made available to students at the school.

Any student seeking admission is required to apply through registration. All

documents must be submitted to the school prior to a placement test and a

personal interview. Admission decision will be made within five (5) business days.

Transfer students will be given a placement test and are required to complete an

interview before final acceptance is granted. NO EXCEPTIONS !

Arrivals

Students may be brought to school as early as 7:00 a.m. and placed in the before

school care. Otherwise, students may be dropped off beginning at 8:00 a.m.

Please Note: Any students dropped off before 8:00 a.m. will be considered a child

care student.

Visitors/Volunteers

All visitors must report to the office and secure a pass before going to any part

of the school. This is for your child's safety. Smoking on any part of our school

campus is prohibited.

UNIFORM REQUIREMENTS

All students must wear the required uniform daily. Uniform inspections will be

conducted each day. Students not in uniform will be handled in the follow manner:

1st offense - a warning will be issued, 2nd offense - an hour detention will be issued

on the day the offense, 3rd offense - the child will be sent home. Failure to return

uniform notice the next day is an automatic detention.

During cold weather, a SJW (only) blouse/shirt, sweatshirt, sweater and nylon jacket

may be worn. NO TEAM LOGOS, ETC. Uniforms may be purchased from Young

Fashions, the official supplier for S.J.W. Other jackets may be ordered through the

school office.
